Habitat's Linux Update Manager Adds New Feature To Manage Ubuntu Kernel Updates

Today Plugins4Automate has released Habitat build 1.0.0.69 which adds improvements to the Windows Backup Service and the Linux Update Manager.

The Linux Update Manager now comes with a new feature that when a Debian style Linux distribution is detected a new option becomes available that allows you to process kernel level updates along with the common packages being managed by Apt-Get.  We also improved the LUM maintenance script adding in several new tests to better prepare update services during automation.

Windows Backup Services has a new feature called Push Backup if late or missing. This feature looks to find agents that have scheduled daily backups that have not completed or failed to run and forces a manual backup based on saved scheduled targets and destinations. This helps with stalled backups that need a push to get them going again. This is an optional feature and can be turned on or off inside the plugin.

We also improved the Windows Backup Service changing the plugin settings from a single global setting to individual client settings. This allows you to control each clients environment independently of all other clients.
